Activity Co-ordinator – Day shift – Maesbrook Nursing Home, Shrewsbury £12.60  per hour • Paid training • Full-time & part-time • Permanent

Maesbrook Care Home is a well-established 45-bed nursing home in Shrewsbury, delivering 24/7 inpatient care to older people. We pride ourselves on a warm, supportive culture where every team member is valued, developed and part of the family.

The Role

Join us as an Activity Co-ordinator on our day shift. You’ll:

·       Provide compassionate, person-centred care under the guidance of our qualified nursing and fellow Activity Co-ordinators.

·       Support residents with daily stimulating activities, companionship and maintaining their dignity.

·       Learn to use our modern electronic care records (picture‐based system) and benefit from structured training & mentorship.

·       Work as part of a friendly team, making a real difference to residents’ day-to-day lives.


What we offer

·       Starting pay of £12.60 per hourplus paid training from day one.

·       Flexible permanence: full-time 36 hours or part-time opportunities available.

Shifts:
           Day shift: 09:45 - 16:00

·       Fixed 2-week pattern with alternate weekends (no split shifts).

·       Overtime reward scheme for additional hours.

What we’re looking for

·       You’re kind, reliable, and passionate about helping older people.

·       Previous care home experience is essential with engaging residents who experience severe cognitive impairment who may present with challenging behaviour.

·       Good attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team, and a flexible approach to shift work.
