Technology & safety

The safety, security, and comfort of our residents is always our top priority, which is why we use a range of fully integrated electronic systems throughout the home to ensure this.

One of the primary advantages of our electronic care platform is that it allows us to update our residents' care plans in real-time. Our staff use handsets to record their observations and notes, ensuring that care plans are always up-to-date and accurate. This means that our residents receive the most effective care possible, and our staff can quickly and easily access the information they need to provide that care.

We also use our electronic care platform to manage our residents' medications. The medication management eMARS system allows our staff to record when our residents receive their medications, ensuring that they are always administered safely and on time. This is particularly important for our residents who require multiple medications throughout the day, as it ensures they receive the correct dosage at the right time.

Our state-of-the-art Medicare radio call system allows our residents to call our care team at any time of the day or night. The system uses a silent alarm to ensure that other residents are not disturbed, and alarms can be personalized to suit each resident's needs. This system provides our residents with peace of mind and ensures that they can receive assistance quickly and efficiently.

Pain management is a critical aspect of our residents' well-being, which is why we use advanced technology to ensure that our residents receive the right treatment and support. For pain management, we use an advanced clinical app called Painchek, which uses artificial intelligence to detect the presence of pain, even when it is not obvious. This allows us to quantify the severity of pain when it is not always apparent, ensuring that our residents receive the right treatment and support for their pain management.

We value feedback from our residents, their families, visiting professionals, and contractors. We have an electronic reception point where visitors can register and provide detailed feedback on their experience at Maesbrook. We welcome all feedback and use it to continually improve our services and ensure that we provide the highest standard of care and support for our residents.
