Christmas week
25/12/2022
There is a few things I would like to say personally before we get in to the fun and games. Over the last two years Christmas in the home has been hard with covid so this year we wanted to have a big Christmas but without all the support from the community and relatives we wouldn't be able to have done that. This year we were donated over 60 gifts for our residents this meant that every resident got more than the one gift that is given to them by the home. We would like to thank Dunelm in Shrewsbury, RAF Shawbury and every single person that donated gifts, it means so much, so thank you for everything from every one here at Maesbrook.

Presents from staff to staff around the tree. Secret Santa is a must every year. Some of the funniest gifts are given to each other and some are just so well thought out

Some of the gifts that were donated we received so many we had to take over a spare room to store them all

So now to Christmas day. The residents had a wonderful day with lots of gift opening and families around, you couldn't help but feel the true spirit of Christmas. We had a few family members in for Christmas dinner and then in the afternoon we had an afternoon tea party with a few more relatives and friends joining us.

Dot, Rene Ann and Sheila enjoying the Christmas dinner sat together having a chat about the gifts they have had

Dot couldn't quite get her hat on so she kept it on like a neckless which gave us all a laugh
