Care Assistant – £13.10 Days / £14.35 Nights + Paid Training

Full-time & Part-time | Permanent

A care role where you are supported, trained, and developed — not just expected to “get on with it.”

We are looking for Care Assistants who want more than a basic job.

At Maesbrook, we provide a structured, nurse-led environment where standards are clear, support is consistent, and staff are developed properly from day one.

This is a well-led nursing home where teamwork, organisation, and quality of care genuinely matter.

Pay & Benefits

  • £13.10 per hour (day shifts)

  • £14.35 per hour (night shifts)

  • Paid training from your first day

  • Overtime reward scheme for additional hours

  • Fixed rota — consistency and stability

  • Clear progression into Senior Carer roles

Why Join Maesbrook

Most care roles look similar — the difference is how the home is run.

At Maesbrook, you will:

  • Work alongside qualified nurses and gain valuable clinical experience

  • Receive structured onboarding with dedicated Senior Carer support

  • Use modern digital care systems (no outdated paperwork)

  • Work in a well-organised home with clear standards and leadership

  • Be part of a team that takes pride in doing things properly

The Role

You will be part of a 45-bed nursing home team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily routines

  • Building positive and meaningful relationships with residents

  • Assisting nurses with clinical care tasks

  • Recording care accurately using digital systems

  • Working as part of a professional and supportive team

What a Typical Shift Looks Like

You will begin your shift with a structured handover, work closely with nurses and senior carers throughout the day, and use digital systems to ensure all care is recorded clearly and consistently — so nothing is missed and you are always supported.

Shift Pattern

  • Day shift: 07:45 – 20:00

  • Night shift: 20:00 – 08:00

  • Fixed 2-week rolling rota

  • Alternate weekends required
