VE Day 8th anniversary.
On the 6th and 8th of May we marked the historic 80th anniversary of VE Day with our residents and staff. We celebrated 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe that so many paid the ultimate sacrifice to achieve the peace we are able to now have in Britain. Many of our residents were young children during the war and are able to share the story of their difficulties that they had during the war and the peace that came with the end of the war.

The wondeful Katriona and Grant joined us on Tuesday the 6th for a Great British sing along.

The residents had a great time singing their much loved war songs.

Massive thank you to the dedication of the kitchen team 👏.

After a quick tidy up we got the games out.

All the staff tried the hand at jax.

Michelle must have been a jax champion in her younger days.

Martin we decided cheated as his hands were so big he could pick them all up at once.

Betty loved jax but said she didn't really know what she was doing haha

We attempted tiddle winks but they just went every where apart from the pot 🤣.

To finish up we had a game of snakes and ladders.

Betty was the winner.
